Your work is beautiful. I have been dyeing silk scarfs using the "bundle" technique but the leaves aren't as pronounced as yours are. I have followed India Flint but never taken a class. I think I'm missing a step. Do you let your fabric dry outside? Any suggestions appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane! Are you using a mordent? I dip my leaves(etc) into iron water while the water is still warm before placing onto the fabric. I also give the fabric a light spray with heavily diluted vinegar. I dry inside or out depending on the weather but never in directly sunlight. I hope that helps! Keep experimenting.. it's always a surprise unwrapping the bundles!
